Fort Worth, Texas – Texas and Louisiana law enforcement authorities are seeking information on an abandoned trailer containing 18 Brangus heifers found between Baton Rouge and New Orleans on Monday.   

The Louisiana Brand Commission is in possession of the 18 head of fancy black Brangus influenced heifers weighing between 650 to 750 pounds each and a gray cattle trailer with a white canvas top. The cattle and trailer were abandoned along the side of I-12 between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The heifers have red numbered Z tags in their ear. The trailer they were abandoned in is a gray 24 foot 1997 Circle W with a white canvas top.
